About LittleLion Dance Theatre
LittleLion Dance Theatre is dedicated to producing meaningful and innovative dance pieces and performances for young audiences and families. As movement is the first language in dance theatre, LittleLion aims to take children out of the everyday world into the abstract world of the senses and to encourage them to expand their imagination by making boundless stories of their own. We believe that imagination pushes boundaries and expands children’s perception of self and the world around them.
Little Lion Dance Theatre is directed by Selma Daniel, a Brazilian choreographer based in Ireland with over 21 years of experience in dance performance, choreography and education.
About Paper Plane
There is one thing that makes EVERY family a family… and that is LOVE!
The family, regardless of its shape or configuration, is a place for the construction of personal and social identity. Through the project Paper Plane, Daniel aims to celebrate the diversity of families and encourage acceptance and inclusion in children’s relationships.
Supported by Solstice Arts Centre, The Arts Council of Ireland’s YPCE Project Award 2020 and Fingal County Council, the research will culminate in a new Dance Theatre show for families in autumn and will be presented at Solstice, Draíocht and Linenhall Arts Centre.
