Are you looking for new ways to introduce creativity into your early years practice?
Dance artist, Selma Daniels will facilitate two, online, interactive movement and dance workshops for ECEC educators and students on May 20th, 27th at 7pm. Associate Dance Artist at Solstice Arts centre, Selma Daniel is a choreographer, with a MA in Contemporary Dance Performance from University of Limerick. Combining over 20 years’ experience in dance performance, choreography and education, Selma founded Little Lion Dance Theatre in 2019. Selma explores her passion in dance for young audiences, creating socially engaging dance performance for screen, stage and public spaces. She uses the body, visual imagery and props to create thought provoking and visually stimulating dance experiences. Her work is dynamic and highly visually driven, often exploring topics of identity, gender, feminism, culture and equality. Selma is currently producing a new project for young audience via Arts Council of Ireland’s YPCE Project Award 2020 entitled Paper Plane about family diversity.
While of particular interest to those working with children under 2 years, anyone with an interest in creativity in ECEC will enjoy these sessions. Workshop duration is 1 hr 15 mins.
