Book – Fin and the Wicked Fairy of Tara

Sit down, not for long though! Open your listening ears, your seeing eyes and get ready to enter a world where a wicked fairy and a giant come to life to try to scare you. Will Finn the warrior of the Fianna let them loose? We will all soon get up and move our greatest warrior moves, fly like a fairy, or hunt in the darkest forest. Wherever our imagination takes us we will dance it with fun games for the whole family.

Book – And Tango Makes Three

by Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell Is on the list of inclusive picture books to support the implementation of Aistear in a variety of contexts.

This book invites us to enter the world of imagination and embody the animals of the zoo. Get ready to spread your wings, shake off snow, walk, and swim like penguins, and take a ‘pretend penguin egg’ to continue the fun at home. A noteworthy lesson on family diversity, this true story portrays two penguins at the Central Park Zoo courting, building a nest, and raising their (adopted) daughter Tango. The story gains depth from the biological reality of same-sex penguin partnering.

Celebrate the joy of storytelling and contemporary dance in this inclusive early year’s family event. Selma together with a dance performer, will guide you on an immersive experience, exploring a picture book in a unique and fun way.
